It's a flip flop kinda day!

Hope you are all staying cool! I just LOVE summer, I don't like wearing shoes, I'd much rather be barefoot or wearing flip flops. I bought these flip flops at Old Navy, what a deal they were 2 pairs for $5, can you believe that. I bought almost every color they had, they're SOOOOO comfy. You can see my tattoo in this picture, it was my daughter's 50th birthday present to me. It hurt like heck but now it is just a part of me, but NO more tattoo's for me, one's enough. Some people say they get addicted (I know some that do) but not this girl, OMG I won't ever be doing that again. Well I best get busy now, have a cold drink on me and enjoy summer!
P.S. I think I need a pedicure.

I finished some sunglass cases.

These are the new sunglass cases I made yesterday, I made a bunch of them. They're washable and padded nice, so great for sunglasses. I made myself one a while ago and LOVE it and have gotten lots of compliments so I thought it would be something nice to make for my craft shows. Still working on some new bags too, but got a little sidetracked today so no telling how long they will take for me to finish, lol. Well gotta go grill so talk at you later....

Another Love Of My Life!

This is one of the other LOVE'S of my life my granddog Roxy. She is the sweetest little doggy, she looks life a girly dog but she climbs mountains. She lives in Steamboat Springs CO with my daughter and son-in-law so I miss her terribly! She's a 4 1/2 year old Pomeranian.
I'm working on a bunch of cool new things. I finished 6 more of the rings like the one in one of the last posts. I tried to get a picture of them but they didn't turn out so couldn't post it. Also will be working on some new bags and will try to get some good pics of them and post them this week. Hope you all had a GREAT weekend, I did!

I'm feeling kinda sick the last couple days I'm not sure if I have a bug or what but I have so much to do it is driving me crazy! I was hoping I would feel normal when I got up today but still not quit right so I'll have to just move a little slower to try to get everything done that I want to. Best get busy now.....

Happy Monday!

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday! I had such a nice weekend. My husband Gordy and I went to Dubuque Iowa for a birthday party for his aunt who turned 80 years young. If you've never have been to Dubuque Iowa your missing out on a beautiful place, it sits way up on a bluff on the Mississippi river. There are so many beautiful old houses and scenic views it is amazing. Gordy's cousins took us on a whirlwind tour of the best scenic views and parks around Dubuque. They were wonderful hosts and we sure enjoyed our time with them.
This picture today is of one of my brother Al's collages, it's called Sweeping Beauty. It's made from and old dustpan and has, old crystals, postcards, newspaper clippings, and old picture, and rhinestones on it. He is so creative to think of putting these things together to make a wonderful piece to hang on the wall.
I have tons of stuff to do today so I best get busy!

I'll be away for a few days!

These flowers are some of my favorites I have in a planter, Lantana. I just LOVE the colors they come in. In Australia I guess they are a bad weed, can you believe that!
We finally did good fishing tonight we caught our 6 fish to measure in. Tonight the bonus fish was Sunfish and we were able to catch 6 that were long enough, they have to be at least 7 inches for one point and because Sunfish were the bonus fish tonight we got 12 pts. We are still in 4th place but at least we didn't go to last place and are closer to 3rd now. It was fun and beautiful out on the lake. We are supposed to get storms tonight so hopefully they won't be severe.
I didn't get any crafting done today, too many other things to do like take my car in for an oil change and get organized for the weekend. Hopefully I will be more productive next week. I'll be away so I won't post again until Sun. night. Have a GREAT weekend!

I finished this doll today for a special order.

I finished this special order today. She is a 22" flower girl, isn't she adorable! She even has her hair in a bun in the back. Hopefully my customer LOVES her, I sure do. I also worked on other dolls too. I got a lot accomplished today it feels so good! I haven't had too many days lately that I feel like I was productive, it's so hard to work at home it seems there are constant interruptions. I am always doing 10 things at once and keep getting sidetracked from my projects. I need to get more focused, maybe someday I will.

Pretty sunset

I took this picture of the sunset on Fri. night after we had a severe thunderstorm move through. We didn't have it too bad here, just some heavy rain, wind and lightning but other areas in MN did have hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. It sure has been a strange year weather wise.
My sister-in-law gave my father-in-law a birthday party today he will be 86 years old next Sun. I only hope I will be as healthy and get around as good as he does at 86, he is amazing. I think one of the reasons he is doing so well is his positive attitude towards life, I think that is one of the keys to living to an old age. It's always great getting together with family and friends, it was a nice day. I have a crazy busy week ahead, thinking about it makes my head spin, hopefully it won't spin off, lol.

One of the loves of my life!

This is my beautiful dog Zoe, one of the loves of my life. She's a 5 yr old Australian Shepard. Too smart for for her own good sometimes. There are so many words we can't say around her like if you say she stinks or the word bath she leaves the room. If you say someones name that she knows, she'll go look to see if they just drove up or something. We've taught her obedience and some tricks, she loves people, eating and to play. Sounds like I am trying to set a profile up for her on Match. com or something doesn't it, lol.
Hope you are all having a good & safe weekend!

CHEER UP, on this stormy day!

It's a gloomy, stormy day here in Central MN. It looks like we will have storms off and on all day long today. My husband and I are storm watchers for the National Weather service so we may get called to action today. We need the rain here it's been dry lately but just hope there isn't any severe weather. It's a GREAT day to stay inside an work I guess! Since I have such a hard time when it is nice out to stay focused, it's easy for me to get sidetracked, lol.
This picture is of a beautiful collage my brother Al made. It is made from a newspaper ad from the 40's. Then he added other antique laundry items to it. The frame is made from very old wainscoting.
Well now I better get busy on my dollies!

May All Your Weeds Be Wildflowers!

The top picture is of a wildflower called Butterfly Milkweed it's blooming right now in the prairie in our backyard, my oldest son planted the prairie for us. He works for a company called Prairie Restorations out of Princeton MN. This is there website if you are interested in having a wildflower prairie planted in your yard.
I just LOVE this saying "May All Your Weeds Be Wildflowers". Wouldn't that be GREAT! This table is in my front yard it's one of my favorite spots to site an relax outside. My Mom and I named it "OUR" spot. I'm working on lots of new dollies so be looking out for new pictures when they are finished. Gotta get to work now!

I tried something new today!

Didn't these turn out cute! Today I made 3 bracelets and a ring. I have lots of cool buttons so I thought I would try making something cute out of them. I'll make a few more tomorrow for my craft shows. Time consuming picking out buttons that look good together.
Well summer is finally here, it was a hot and steamy one today and sounds like it will be for the next few days. Hopefully we will get a little rain tomorrow we haven't had any for a while here. All the plants and trees are loving the heat, growing like crazy. Hope you have a great Monday!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We went out fishing this morning and I caught and released this nice 15 3/4" Largemouth bass. Not a good pic of me but what the heck, lol. It was BEAUTIFUL out on the lake this morning, the weather is perfect today in the mid 70's. Hope you all have a fun, safe and happy 4th!

Some more dollies done!

I finished these dollies today! They turned out adorable didn't they? I made them using a pattern from Sweet Meadows Farm. Lots of work in these girls, the dolls are 17" tall and the bear is 7".

Didn't beat the men last night fishing, darn! My son and I gave it a really good try though, fished our butts off but we are still in 4th place. I got 4 pts for our team and my son got 3 so at least we didn't move to last place. It was SO windy, it was very hard to fish. It was fun though and I got to spend time with my oldest son so it was awesome. Maybe next week, lol.

I can't believe it's been a week!

Wow, time flies! I can't believe it's been a week already and it's fishing league tonight. My son is taking my husbands place tonight since my husband is out of town. The wind is blowing pretty hard and gusty sometimes so I don't know how it will be out on the lake hopefully it will die down this evening. I hope we catch some big ones! We need to move up out of 4th place, there are only 5 teams, lol. I have to keep reminding myself it is supposed to be for fun and not to get so serious but it is hard to do, I want to beat those men!

I had fun last night it was girls night, my sister had my sister in law and I over for dinner and then I stayed overnight at her house. It was so nice to have someone else cook for me.
