A sad passing in our lives.

My father in law Ron passed away yesterday from a heart condition at 89 years old he would have been 90 July 20th 2012.  He was a wonderful man and was loved by many.  He had a terrific sence of humor and a laugh like no one else, and boy did he like to laugh.  A huge void will be in all of our lives without him.  I was his daughter in law for 37 years and I loved it!  RIP Ron, I love you!

Happy Spring!

Wow, it's been a while since my last post hasn't it, like my Dad always said "Long Time No See"!  Spring is early here in MN we are supposed to be in the 70's this weekend, LOVE it!  My tulips are poking out of the leaves I put on my gardens to mulch them for winter.  Not sure if I should rake them out or not but I probably will this weekend.  I think spring is a month ahead of schedule here, yeah!
I finished and added these two rabbits that I call Astrid to my Etsy page .  I just love how they turned out such  sweet expressions on there faces I think.  I used a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern to make them.
I recently opened a vintage Etsy shop  http://www.etsy.com/shop/DebscountryVintage  I LOVE antiquing and thrift store shopping treasure hunting, plus I have WAY too many vintage collectables in my house so I thought it was time to part with some of them hence the shop opening.  I hope you hop on over to take a look at it.
My brother also recently opened two new shops on Etsy these are the links:

He is sooooo talented and creative I hope you take a look at both of his great shops.
Hope you all are enjoying springtime, wherever you live!  :)

Holiday Dollies

I'm slowing getting back into the groove of doll making for 2012. These are two of my latest creations, they are for sale on my  Etsy page right now.  I'll be making some spring/Easter dolls next.
My Mom was recently hospitalized with pnemonia and then went home with hospice care so I'll be spending lots of quality time with her and crafting in between.  Life sure is hard sometimes I'm trying to remember to live in the present and enjoy every good thing and not dwell on the reality.  My 2 sisters, and 1 brother an I gave my Mom a bedroom makeover yesterday.  We made it really girly, lots of pink floral, garden theme and cheerful.  She loved it!
