This is SPRING???!!!

Wow, March is going out like a lion! What a funny April fools joke nature is playing on us! This is what it looks like out my front window and my back window of my house this morning. YUCK!!!! Definitely not the spring scenery I would like to see! It's snowing REALLY hard! They predicted 6-10 inches and it looks like we'll get at least that much if it keeps up like this. Oh, well I guess it will melt fast and it's a good day to stay inside and sew right. I'm working on some new purses, VERY cute, I'll post pictures when there done. At least my craft room is bright and cheerful though, yeah!

I've been busy!

I've been busy, busy sewing up these cool things. The top picture is of a "Get Out Of Town" bag, one of the pics is of the inside. It's so neat it has 6 big pockets, 3 on the outside and 3 on the inside. Now I'm gonna need one for myself! The next picture is 5 wallets that I just finished up. I just LOVE these I will be making one of these for myself FOR SURE! As you can see from the picture they can hold so much in them, they have 12 card holders and 2 sections for $$ and a zipper pouch and a Velcro pouch and then all secured with the strap Velcro closure, these are VERY cool! They are just wallets but WOW were they a lot of work, so many details!

It's hard to believe March is almost over, where or where does the time go! Each day seems to just zip by so fast! Spring is really resisting here, it's only going to be in the low 40's for highs this weekend then back to winter by Monday, snow in the forecast, YUCK! Hopefully it will melt quickly and spring will hurry up already! Have a wonderful weekend!

I finished 6 "new" purses!

This is what I've been doing for the past week and why I haven't been posting. I've been sewing in my new craft room, yippee! I finished these wonderful purses up yesterday! I LOVE the way they turned out! They're a great size about 11" long an 14" wide at the widest part. They have a zipper closure with a beaded zipper pull. I put a cell phone pocket in each one. The handles are 20" in length so they fit on your shoulder nicely. Each one is made with 100% cotton in cheerful colors for spring and summer, fun colors inside too. I'm going to put the one with flamingo's on it on my Etsy site for sale so if you want it head on over there and buy it OK! I think I'm gonna have to make one of these for myself! I'm putting a bunch of other new stuff on my Etsy site too so check it out!

It's a VERY dreary day here in central MN today, cloudy and steady rain falling. At least it isn't snow though right! Yeah for that! Spring is here I guess.

One of the coolest things EVER!

Wow, this was one of the coolest things I've ever seen! The Minnesota zoo has a new attraction called Russia's Grizzly Coast. There are 3 Grizzly bears there and 2 of them were swimming in the pool that they have. The window for their exhibit is one of the walls of the pond so you can see them swimming. They came right up to the window and were treading water there looking at the people for a long time. They were so interested in the people it was so cool to see. When I was standing there watching I thought this will never happen to me again in my life to be this close to a grizzly bear, it was amazing. When ever the 2 bears would get close to each other the would start fighting right there in the water was that ever scary! We found out that all 3 of the bears were found in Alaska abandoned by there mothers and they are all 3 years old and about 300 lbs each. Very cool attraction!

I started making 6 new purses yesterday. They are medium size with zippers, cool color combinations. I'll post pics of them when I get them finished. Well gotta go for now get busy! Oh, yeah Happy ST Patricks Day!

I put this set on Etsy today!

I just finished up this set today and put them on my Etsy page. Aren't they an adorable couple! I had a order for a set and then an order for just the Andy so thought I would make a set to sell on Etsy too. They are $85 for the set. I also had a special order for a Raggedy Ann holding a black lab, it will be auctioned off in a silent auction in Texas at a Lab dog show. I hope it brings a lot. It feels so good to have my orders done. I'll mail them out on Monday if either of you gals is reading this.

My new craft room works awesome! It's so easy to work in there now that everything has a place. I don't have to spend time looking for things, I know right where everything is and it can be put back when I'm done. It sounds like a no brain-er but I was disorganized before. My husband and two sons

This is my husband and two sons, Luke on the left and Brad on the right. I took this picture last night at Brad's house we were there celebrating Gordy's birthday. They're 3 good looking guys, I love them so very much!!! We went to Famous Dave's first, most of us had ribs, delicious! It is decorated SO darn cute in there, have any of you been there yet? I would recommend it.
It is FREEZING cold here in Sauk Rapids this morning still 13 below zero a little while ago, it's only going to warm up to the low teens today. It seem like Jan. weather not March. I think it broke a record low here last night. By the weekend it will be in the 40's though and the middle of next week 50. Yeah all this new white crap on the ground will melt. I can't wait for green grass and like Sue (my blogger buddy) says to get my hands in the dirt.
I worked in my new craft room yesterday and wow is it ever awesome! I have so much more space and a place for everything now. I'm working on some orders for dolls so I better get busy now. Two great ladies are waiting on there dollies to come in the mail, should be soon I promise.

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband Gordy!

Happy 54th Birthday Gordy! I am so lucky to be married to such a wonderful guy for 33 years. He is the BEST!!! Hope you have a great birthday Dear and have many more healthy birthday's to come! You just keep getting better every year! Tonight a bunch of family members that lives close by will be going to Famous Dave's for Gordy's favorite, ribs, then to Brad's (our oldest son) house for his favorite kind of cake angel food.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments about my new craft room it is a dream come true for me. I have been crafting for 18 years in not such a nice space so it is long overdue. My hope for you is that all of you have a space of your own that you can go to and feel creative. Hugs!

My dream workspace, is complete!

My brother Al thought of this for my paint. We attached little plastic crates to the wall and stacked them in there, cool huh.

My husband made this cool holder for my butcher paper to go on so I can just pull off what I want and cut it, it works great for putting down under things when I paint.

A peek inside the drawers. Some of them are really wide and some are more narrow.

I put plastic bins in each cupboard to put material in so I can just pull them out to look through them. I hate just having material loose on a shelf. This drawer works perfect for my patterns.

I can't believe it is finally done! Wow, what a job that was but well worth it! Now I can't wait to start working in there. I tried to organize it so I would be able to keep it neat. I sure hope I can. My son just came in to look at it an asked me "How long do you think it will look neat and organized like this?" I'm not sure but hopefully I will be able to straighten up everyday for a little bit and try to keep in nice. We'll see! I couldn't fit all my stuff in the room, bulky stuff like fur, felt, wool sweaters, wool shirts etc. so I put it in plastic bins and will have to stack them in the other room in the basement. My craft room is in the basement, it's a walkout basement so it's on the walkout side which gives it more light. Now it's bright and cheery in there isn't it! Thanks so much to my wonderful husband, my great brothers Al and Bruce for all of your amazing talent and help! I wouldn't have this awesome space without them! Just in case you forgot how bad it was before here are a couple pictures.

Amazing huh! I know, I can't believe it is the same room.

We're supposed to get a huge winter storm here tomorrow, 6-10 of snow, YUCK! I feels like spring will never come! Hope you all have a GREAT week!

LOOK, my dream work space is almost complete!

My dream work space (craft room) is almost complete! I'm thrilled with how it's turning out! We have just a few little things left to do then I'll be able to get to work in there and finally get some new stuff made. Seems like forever since we started, but it's been well worth the wait, don't ya think! Gordy made a holder for the big roll of butcher paper to go on, that will be so awesome to have handy. I use that all the time to put things on when I paint, then stuff doesn't stick, works great! I'll take more pictures when it is totally done and all my supplies are put away. That's what I'll be doing the next few days, fun stuff!

More progress on my craft room!

There's more progress on my craft room, yippee! It's coming along so nicely and it's starting to look like my dream work space. We worked on getting some of the counter tops set, more painting, putting lights and shelves up, and worked on some other misc things. We're supposed to get one of the counter tops today so then that can be put in tomorrow I hope. Now maybe I'll be able to get in there in a few days to start putting all of my supplies in their proper place. That will take some real thinking, where will be the most productive spot to store each item. I'm also going to decorate it up cute too, I'll make it fun to be in there working just wait an see, lol.

It's still super cold here but sunny today. The temps are supposed to warm into the low 40's the middle of the week so that will melt some of the new snow we have on the ground, YEAH! I so can't wait for spring flowers to pop up, I know that won't be for another month or so but it's getting closer I can dream! Also only a month till my parents come back from AZ too, YEAH, I can't wait!

Wow, I need to get busy working so I can have fun outside once the weather gets nice so byeeeeeeeee!
