Mall of America shopping trip

Wow, what a haul I made, I found so many cute things at the Mall of America today! It was a blast! I went today not planning on buying anything and found so many cute things that I needed, lol. It was a great day, so much fun. I LOVE American Outfitters, I found 3 adorable t-shirts there, so soft and cute. Monday is the perfect day to go, not a lot of traffic driving there and back and not a huge amount of people. My niece and my brother went with me and we all had a great day. The rides in the amusement park sure have changed they all look so scarey, eek! They knew what they were doing though to change it from Camp Snoopy to Nickelodian since that is what all the little ones are into now. Hopefully I will get something craft related done tomorrow but not sure dentist in the morning and then hopefully work. Take care.

Friendships are like quilts stitched together with love

This is a picture of part of my booth at last years Little Falls Craft Show in Little Falls MN. This year it is on Sept.6th and 7th my booth space is I-6 & I-7. Last year we made a whole new booth I just LOVE how it turned out! My brother helped my husband & I design and make the new booth and then he even made some of the artwork for sale too. He is a very talented guy with tons of creativity! I will be putting pictures of his art on here soon to show off.
Today was a busy day we hosted a family barbecue here at our house for family that live close and some that came from far away. It turned out really good, we had plenty of good food and lots of great company. Always wonderful to get together. It was a gorgeous day too not too hot and sunny all day, couldn't ask for better than that now could you. I am exhausted though so I'm off to bed. I have to get up early I'm taking some family members to the Mall of America! It seems when you live here the only time you go there is if someone from out of state visiting wants to go. I love going though so can't wait, yeah shopping one of my favorite things!

So many fun things to do in MN in the summer!

There are so many differant festivals or fairs here in MN every weekend, a wide variety of things to do. I love that about MN. We are leaving in a minute for the Rapids River Days celebration. Hope I win the rubber ducky race! The weather is mostly cloudy and cool today what a change from the middle of the week. I have so many things going on in the next week I wonder how I will have time to work on my craft projects. Well have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Calm before the storm!

What a day this has been warm and sunny weather, then a bad storm and now gloomy and cool.
Today was a sad day for our family we buried my brother in law with full military honors. He died a year ago from cancer caused by agent orange that he was exposed to while in the army in Vietnam. Hoping it would help others he donated his body to the Mayo clinic for cancer research. He was very loved and is missed terribly!

On a brighter note, one of my black dollies is going to have a new home the one with black hair holding the bear. I hope the new home LOVES her. Take care.

I finished these black dolls today!

Hi, everyone! I just finished this batch 0f black dolls today. They are so cute, even cuter in person. The dolls on the left are 17" tall and the bear is 7". They are made using a pattern from Sweet Meadows Farm. I made these a couple of years ago and they sold right away so I made a batch again, 3 black and 3 white. The picture on the right is of Junebug. She is 14" tall and has sculpted toes and fingers. So cute you want to squeeze her! I made her using a pattern from Cat and the Fiddle Designs.
Wow, I feel like a crappy fisher woman after last night. I wanted to beat all the men but just couldn't catch many big bass. I caught one nice one that gave us some points but we are still in 4th place out of 5 groups, not so good. Maybe next week I just have to keep remembering it is supposed to be for fun. Take care.

Pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!

My husband just finished these pumpkins for my craft show in Little Falls MN in Sept. They are always a huge hit and sell out first thing in the morning. Each one is carved with a chain saw and all have different character. I am still working on some dolls I'm almost finished with this bunch, will get them done this week.
My husband and I have our weekly fishing league tonight, the bonus fish tonight is Bass, yeah, that is my specialty 0r what I love to fish for. The forecast is calling for storms this evening so I hope we don't get rained out. It is a good excuse for us to go fishing every week and spend quality time together.
I have to go organize my tackle box now so wish us luck tonight.

Dollies dryin in the sunshine!

It's a GREAT day for dryin dollies today! There is a little breeze and nice warm sunshine. I will have some new dolls done this week. I can't wait to see how they turn out, the next steps are my favorite when I get to add personality to each one. Only doll makers know how many steps are involved with each doll, some of the steps are just plain boring and some are so much fun. I have had a request for some black dolls so some of the new one's will be black. I hope wherever you are today your days is sunshiny too!
Now back to work!!!!

This is me and my sweetie of 33 yrs. I am one lucky lady!
It is such a pretty day outside today perfect summer day, good considering it is the 2nd day of summer today. My go swimming with my sister and niece. It is so hard to stay inside and work on nice days like this. I will have to get back to work tomorrow no matter what the weather is like outside. I am working on 9 new dolls, need to get them done. I put a slideshow on here but it ended up being too big so I will have to work on it to make it smaller. I sure am learning alot about setting this up.

I love summer!

I love summer and it is finally here, yeah! It has been such a cold dreary spring, hopefully we have a long beautiful summer. I watered my flowers this morning for the first time since it has been raining almost everyday I haven't needed to. So far this year no snakes in my flower gardens, the last 2 yrs they have been invaded with guarder snakes, YUCK, so scary!
These are some of the new purses I have made. The one in the back left is Dick and Jane, the one in the back right is western girl and the one in the front is cherries. I have one this style and LOVE it, there are two pockets in the inside and 2 on the outside and so roomy to fit all your necessities, the handles are the perfect length too. I Scotch guarded them and they can be washed when needed. So much fun picking out all the cute combinations of material.
Well back to work now.

Hi, everyone! Can you believe I have a blog!

Hi! This is my very first time blogging. I am a little out of place here don't quite know what to do but thought this would be a good way to get to know other artist's like myself and show my creations. I have been making crafts for about 15 yrs now. It is my passion! I love creating! I am known by some women as the Raggedy Ann lady. Some of my faithful customers have been buying a new Raggedy Ann doll from me each year, so I always have to have something new. It is so much fun getting to know all these differant women and making them smile with my new dolls. I also make a variety of differant cloth dolls for the seasons. My great husband is so supportive and helpful to me that he helps make some awesome stuff too like his famous pumpkins that he makes from slabs of wood then cuts out character with a chain saw paints them, they are all differant. They are addictive no one can just have one (like chips) people have been buying a new one or two every year to add to their collection. Last year I started making purses and fun stuff like that to sell. It is so much fun making them that I have a hard time going back to dolls so I have to only allow myself to make some then go back to the dollies.
Well enough for now this should be fun.
