I finished these purses today!

I finished making these 2 purses plus another one for an order today. They all turned out super cute, if I do say so myself, lol. This style purse is my favorite that I have made so far, it is so roomy and really comfy to carry. Love the pockets on the front for my keys! I am selling these for $72 each so if your interested let me know and it's yours. They are machine washable too, which I think is so important.
We had a birthday party last night here at our house for my baby brother who turned 42 on the 2nd, my dad who turned 75 yesterday and my sister who will be 49 on Tuesday. So much fun, I love family time! Hope you all had a good weekend too!

I'm here!

Hi, everyone! I'm still here, sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been busy trying to get back on track. I am making some purses, one of them is for an order from Little Falls, I am so appreciative for the sweet woman's patience that is waiting for it. I've also been making more recycled wool mittens and hat sets. I will post pictures of them on here soon. They were a huge hit last year, they're so warm and cozy and really cute too. We will all need them soon, it's really cold here this morning, I think it froze last night, brrrrrrrrrr. I covered my tomatoe and zuccinni plants last night, I hate the thought of not being able to go out to the garden for fresh veggies. I didn't bother covering my flower plants, I decided to just let them go, sad huh. I am NEVER ready for cold weather to come but this year it seems way to fast! It is supposed to be beautiful today and part of tomorrow then gloomy cool and rainy for a few days so hopefully I'll get to enjoy some of the nice weather this weekend, hope you all have a fun and safe weekend.

I saw some celebrities in Tennessee!

I am an avid Bachelor fan so I thought this was cool. Do you all remember season 6 of the Bachelor? The top picture is of Byron Velvick season 6's bachelor and the second picture is of Mary Delgado the woman he picked on the show. They are still a couple and fish bass tournaments, they are both pro/boaters. They seemed very nice and well respected by the other fishermen. Byron placed #66 and Mary placed #143.

Back from Tennessee.

This picture was taken at the Bass tournament at 6:30 am in the morning of the first day. It is unbelievable how organized it is. The boats all file into line according to the # they were given.
This is Luke on the first day in line with his Pro/boater. He didn't catch any fish that were big enough to weigh in on the first day.

This is Luke with his Pro/boater leaving in the morning and then weighing in later on the second day, he had 2 fish, 4-1 lbs. That wasn't enough for him to fish the 3rd day of the tournament, darn! Luke ended up #88 as a Co-angler out of 165

This is the Pro that Luke fished with on the second day, Terry Bolton with the biggest fish of the day it weighed 6 lbs 4 ozs, he won $1000 for it. It was awesome that Luke was in the boat with him and netted it for him. He really enjoyed fishing with him and learned a lot. Terry Bolton recently won a tournament with FLW for $75,000.

This is my nephew Eric Sheley going out on the first day with his Pro/boater. He didn't catch any fish big enough on the first day to weigh in.

This is Eric on the second day with his Pro/boater. He caught one fish on the second day that was big enough to weigh in.
This is Eric weighing in his fish it weighed 1-15. It wasn't enough for him to fish the 3rd day. He was #123 out of 165 co-anglers.

What a GREAT experience it all was! We all had a wonderful time! Paris Landing State park in Tennessee (that's where the tournament was) was really a beautiful place. We stayed in the park at the Park Inn, no complaints at all about that place it was GREAT! This is the website I highly recommend it if you are in the area.
We also had awesome quality family time. My sister and I had fun exploring the area together.
I'll post more pics of the trip this week.

My youngest son Luke.

This is my youngest son Luke, he's 24, he will be in his first professional Bass Tournament the Central Open 2 Sept 25-27 in Paris, Tennessee as a co-angler. I am going to leave tomorrow with him so we can get there early so he can pre-fish the lake. It has been a dream of his for a long time to be a pro bass fisherman. With him graduating from college in May and finishing up a summer job in Aug this if the right time for him to pursue his dream. He is an awesome guy and really puts everything into whatever he is doing so I hope it works out for him.
You will be able to go to this website to see the results.

My nephew Eric Sheley from Colorado will be in the tournament also as a co-angler. He has been fishing in professional Bass tournaments for a couple years now. He has done really well so far coming in 2nd last year in one of his tournaments.
My sister and I will be enjoying quality time together there supporting our sons. I can't wait to see her. I probably won't be posting then until I get home so have a GREAT week everyone and cross your fingers for the guys OK.

Yeah, I'm having a web site designed.

I'm finally going to have a web site! I'm SO excited! I met with the gal that's going to design it yesterday to talk about what I would like it to look like. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. She is supposed to be sending me a draft in the next few days to look over. I'm hoping it will be what I need for my business to expand. I've been wanting a web site for a couple of years now so finally I'm going to bite the bullet. This is the gals site that is doing it for me. She's so nice, your should check it out.

I haven't been getting much done this week as far as my crafts go. I've been getting new supplies and organizing projects. I need to get something done this week though since I will be gone all next week with my youngest son Luke, to Tennessee. He will be in his first professional Bass tournament. It's been his dream since he was little to do this so we told him, now is the time you need to pursue it while you can. I sure hope he does well! My sister and her son (my nephew) from Colorado are meeting us there, my sisters son Eric is already a pro Bass fishermen so my son and him will both be in the tourney competing against each other.
The weather is gorgeous this morning bright blue sky and sunshine, just the way I love it!

A dreary weekend here in central MN.

This picture is what the weather in Central MN has been like here, dreary all weekend. I am so glad it wasn't like this last weekend, we lucked out and made it through again with nice weather. If the weather would have been like it is this weekend I can't even imagine how bad the show would have been. Today we are only supposed to have a high of 53 with cloudy and rainy skies, YUCK. The rest of week looks good though sunny and warmer in the 70's. I shouldn't complain though, I feel SO bad for the people in Texas with Ike's wrath. I hope the hurricanes are done now for 2008, what a bad stretch it's been, with one after another hitting.
I guess it's a great day to stay inside and sew so I better get busy now right, lol. Hope you are all having a GREAT weekend and it's sunny where you are!
