Get a load of this loot I found antique shopping over the weekend! I found all of this stuff on Friday and Saturday in a couple different antique shops. This isn't a very good picture but can you see all the good stuff! I am in need of buttons in certain colors so I found some in the colors I wanted, zippers, a bunch of ribbon, other assorted trim, little story books, bottle brush Xmas tree, tiny quilt and misc. stuff. Cool huh! I can't wait to get back to work so I can use some of this stuff on dollies and purses!
Gordy took me on a overnight Valentine's getaway on Friday. We went to Wabasha MN to see the eagles that winter there on the river. We didn't get to see many eagles up close but we saw some from far away, that was disappointing, we were hoping to see lots more and closer up. We went to the Eagle Center there in Wabasha. We had a delicious dinner in a restaurant there called Vinifera. We were shocked to find there wasn't even one antique store in Wabasha we thought there would be a bunch of them. We found some shops on the way there and then on the way home though. The antique shopping was more fun. We had a great time, it was wonderful to getaway overnight together.
My craft room is coming along GREAT! My brother Bruce came over yesterday to help me paint. We got the ceiling painted and the woodwork. I'll take more pictures this week to post when we get the walls painted. Hope you have a fantastic President's Day!

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the kind words...it means alot to me. My daughter took me today that their hours at work are going to get cut back again. She went from 40 hrs to 20-25 hrs...wonder how low it is going to go. We have a feeling that the store she works for might be about to go under.
I love all the goodies that you found. Isn't it fun when you find stuff like that!! I just can't wait to see you room when it is all done.
hugs, Cindy
Wow! That is my kind of loot. There's a whole lot of great stuff there. Kudos to you.

Hi Deb,
Sorry it took me so long to answer your comment....Yes I run down to Keepers all the time....A friend of mine owns it...She use to own a dress shop down town and her husband had a pharmacy downtown also....Well the stores on the block where the dress shop was stared crumbling and they all had to be redone (beautiful renovation) so she closed her dress shop and now her husband has closed his pharmacy downtown and went in with Hy-Vee....Not only doesn't Wabasha have an antique shop, but it doesn't have a Wal-Mart or anything like a Cost Cutters...My granddaughter got married there 2 summers ago and I was just shocked...My ex DIL lives there...We saw the eagles and had our picture taken with one of the eagles that goes all over to shows...Next time you come this way go to the Medford outlet mall to the Painted Porch antique store...They have some nice items and also nice repo items...Then there is a big one in Owatonna...Just go west on 14 and you will see it...It is just a little ways away from the Wal-Mart-Lowes area....Maybe it will warm up here finally....I need to get my hands in some dirt and have the sun on my face....You got some nice things...oh yes Owatonna has a Salvation Army store...It is out by the HY VEE and fair grounds....
Hugs
Sue
